This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

The PMO Delivery Assurance Manager works in the Strategic Change team reporting to the Head of PMO.  The purpose of the role is to provide independent oversight and assurance of projects and programmes to ensure they are meeting the required standards and being delivered safely. This role involves implementing quality assurance practices, identifying and escalating risks, coordinating with project teams and maintaining strong relationships and communication with stakeholders.

 

How will you do this?

  • Develop and implement the quality assurance framework to ensure the highest quality of deliverables.
  • Monitor the execution of multiple projects to ensure they are on time, within scope and within budget
  • Establish and conduct quality reviews at appropriate points during and after projects and programmes, to ensure compliance with centre of excellence standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Support project and programme delivery teams to implement corrective actions and address compliance gaps
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery assurance.
  • Identification of potential risks and issues that could impact safe and successful delivery.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and senior leadership to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Continuous review and improvement of the Change framework processes and artefacts, in partnership with the PMO and Delivery teams, to ensure management of projects and programmes are comprehensive and consistent.
  • Work with resource managers to address resource constraints, identifying thematic portfolio level issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on project delivery status, quality metrics, and risk management to senior leadership
  • Advocacy of Change Framework and portfolio management standards and processes, driving and influencing best practice with senior leadership across the business
  • Line management of a team of delivery assurance analysts, including performance management and development

 

Essential skills required for the role:

  • Extensive experience in PMO, project management, quality assurance or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Building relationships and credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Negotiating and influencing senior leadership as a subject matter expert
  • Demonstrate capability for problem solving, decision making and sound judgement.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
